opening images

Hi all. Can someone please tell me how to open 'images' that are posted here eg in the projects forum. The image icon with the post does not light up ie does not seem hittable with the cursor.

tube disposal

Does anyone know how to dispose of old laser tubes? Are they safe to be recycled and if so where/how? I am about to replace the tube on our 6090 machine and would like to be environmentally friendly if possible.

upgrading laser tube

Hi all
We have an LS6090 with a 60w. tube. Is it possible to replace this with an 80w tube? I believe the tube dimensions are the same but dont know if the power requirements are the same or if there are any other differences or mods that would be required.
Thanks Phil

Re: Gluing Acrylic

Hi. This might be a bit late for you but I have not been around for a while. You can use a product called Tensol. It has a number afterwards which is either 12 or 24, I will check. This is a fairly thick consistency and may be good where you have gaps. The other product, which is better for close ma...

side guide lubrication

Hi all Not been here for a while, things have been going well :-). I will soon be doing a major clean and drain on our LS6090 prior to the school summer holidays. I notice the side guides (tracks) that the cross arm moves backwards and forwards on, are looking as though they need lubricating. Is the...

Re: LS3020 pro power loose

When I got a new tube one of HPC engineers delivered it to me. Didn't have to wait long until they were working in my area for delivery.

2 cuts in one pass

Hi all I have just cleaned our machine and found on checking its operation that the laser beam seems to have split so that we get 1 cut and 1 wide scorch mark parallel to the cut in one axis. Along the other axis the scorch is in line with the cut. I have inspected the lens (suspecting tis to be the...

Re: laser tube terminals

Thanks Dave. I will await your response. This connector seems to be a weak point on my machine especially when there is a lot of vibration on some projects we have. I just hate it when the cable drops off. Whilst I was fidling around with the connector at the end of the tube opposite the beam exit e...

laser tube terminals

Hi all Just got back to school after lovely summer hols and filled our 9060 laser with coolant and started to check it's functioning. I found that there was a lack of power especially in the front right hand corner (furthest from the laser). Cleaned and aligned the mirrors/lens but still the same. F...

Re: not cutting very deep

Hi Kris and Dave I dont know if you have sorted out your problems yet but I note in one of your posts that you have been trying to cut HIPS. We also cut this material and always get the shape of cut you are describing ie the raised profile on the top side of the material. I have always put it down t...
