Re: HX3040

Windows XP with SP2.
It's not sharing any IRQ's.

I have no driver files, should there be a driver installed for the laser?
When I connect the machine to the parallel port, windows doesn't show any new device connected!

Re: HX3040

I have found an old PC with a parallel port, it is set as per the following;

Type = ECP
Name = LPT1
I/O = 0378-037F
IRQ = 7
DMA = 03

When I run NewlyDraw, there are still no options for my machine.
Any ideas?

Re: HX3040

Hi,

Thank you for all of your comments.
What if used a new(ish) PC but put a PCI Parallel board in it. Lindey or similar. The settings on them can be configured the same as on M/B ports.

Has anyone any experience using PCI Ports with this type of Laser?

Regards,

HX3040

Hi, Can anyone please advise me on the following issue; I have purchased an old HX3040 laser cutter/engraver, but it came without any software. I have the 'NewlyDraw' dongle and I have downloaded NewlyDraw 1.5, which runs fine. My PC is connected to the HX3040 using a USB-to-Parallel adapter cable. ...
