Our laser cutter has started cutting every job twice. Any ideas as to why?

When I move the bed, the red dots move, but they never meet - they seem to circle each other. Also, one of the red dots is blurry

Not sure if we have misaligned the laser. One of the red dots is blurred after taking out the lens to clean it. It is still cutting OK.
We are using a 6840.

I'm afraid I don't know what the difference is between splines and polylines. I use 2D designer software and export to a DXF file.
Would a jig be there to centre the shape onto the laser bed?
Mostly the shapes we use are simple squares, rectangles and circles.
