Re: Laser wondering off mid-job

Hi Dave
This morning, I had 4 relatively small jobs in the memory on the machine and the laser stopped midway, so don't think it's a memory issue.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Kim

Re: Laser wondering off mid-job

Hi Dave
Mmh, maybe it was the memory.
I did clear the memory and actually managed to finish a number of jobs.
I’m so shattered ... I can’t remember if I had the issue after clearing out the memory too
Thanks for your response. I’ll post again in this thread if the problem continues.

Laser wondering off mid-job

Hi there My laser is wondering off mid-job. I either manage to get a few lines engraved and then it wonders off, or even worse, I get to the end of a relatively long engraving and then it just decides to do its own thing. Water temp is fine, table is 'almost' level, recently oiled railings ... Any i...

Re: Technical Docs for Laserscript LS3040

Thanks Dave! Btw - I'm getting loads of error messages on the forum. Lines and lines of code appearing above the forum and in each individual post. Not sure if it's an issue with the forum or something on my end. Example of what I can see: [phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/bbcode.ph...

Technical Docs for Laserscript LS3040

Hi
Bit of a long shot but are there any technical documents available for the Laserscript LS3040? Particularly around wiring?
Thanks
Kim

Re: Importing PNG into LaserCut

I’ll have a look into the HPC training days. I didn’t know they did that. Mmmh.

Where are you based? I’d love to have an informal chat and get some useful tips and info if you’d be willing to share :)

Re: Importing PNG into LaserCut

Don’t be sorry - you’re brilliant at helping out! I tried Dxf but it never quite works for engraving. I did change the text and the power/speed and had much better results, though I’m not sure I’d that was luck?! Any chance you fancy running a training session? I’d love a half day/ full day session ...

Re: Importing PNG into LaserCut

I've attached the lasercut import file options. There is no PNG? That would save me a load of work and improve the quality hugely if it did deal with PNG. I'm using LaserCut 6.1? Edit on this post as my attachment hasn't been saved due to attachment quota being exceeded. The import options are: PLT-...
