Re: Running from an inverter or generator....

I have one of these https://energenie4u.co.uk/catalogue/product/ENER007 (I guess other brands and prices are available) it's quite useful (and cheap enough) when you need to know how much power you are using , and for what. It's not quite quick enough to show the start up surge, which you could do w...

Re: Annoying LaserCut 5.3 glitch

I use a separate CAD program and save as AI format. I use AI, as it seems to work better for me I never save anything from the laser software. Mainly as I use the files for CNC or Laser, and the same shapes/files for different thicknesses Just load the AI, set the speed and power depending on materi...

Re: Annoying LaserCut 5.3 glitch

not sure what controller you have ?
Can you see it on the laser Control panel before you cut ?

as for the file, try deleting the K and adding the T before you save it as a new file ???

I don't use LC, but would try that as a work around to see :-)

is your laser in the house, or outbuilding ?

Re: Newbie having trouble

I'd try something simple like 'paint Draw a big black circle smaller white circle then either draw white lines to make the dashes or make a star with muliple points in white ... set white to transpaRENT and save depends what drawing package you use and how good your are with it .. Look at inkscape, ...

Re: HPC 2030pro Laserply help ?.

3mm medite is the thinnest that is readily available.

Take care to store it flat, so it lays flat in the machine ... it becomes "unflat" very easily :-)

Re: Hi, I'm a new user & would just like some friendly advic

All said and done .. you would (should at at the right sales price) probably pay for the laser in a **month or three if you bought the basic one. and cut for more than a few hours a day. I totally agree that bigger is better ! to a point .. .. and yes .. if your business expands, you WILL need a big...
