Re: Laser cut 5.3 stalling with large dxf files
I had similar issues with large multiples of the same detailed design on a large sheet.. 2.6ghz dual core i5 laptop, 8GB RAM and MX200 SSD so I don't think it's computer power issues rather software limitation.

Re: laser not firing straight away
Update to this.. I've still been getting the occasional gaps in my cuts which has been causing annoyance, the gaps were very strange, like the laser wasn't cutting at all (usually if there's dirt causing it, then the cut is just weakened not stopped completely) so I decided I'd test the door theory ...

LaserCam
Thanks to Lightnin's great idea in another thread I'd set up a cam in my lasercutter to monitor for fires without having to get up all the time and decided to live stream it to my website. It wont always be active and it will always be mindblowingly boring. Enjoy ;-) http://llamagraphics.co.uk/?page...

Re: Newb alert - Difference in spec LS3050 & LS3060
We picked our first HPC up from ebay second hand for about £700, it was faulty and I had to spend another £200 in parts to get it working. I got my hands dirty and did the repair myself and was pleased to hit the learning curve running. That machine lasted us well over a year and earned us enough mo...
