Bernie, Just done a windows 7 install... All loaded up no problem then wouldent find the dongle to open software here was a problem...... :( Thanks to a clever IT Guy we know at a school go to device manager select the item then on driver properties choose to rin drivers as xp and Horrayyyy............

Hi Goodge, We use 2D design on the 1290 pro the big brother. The files are saved in layers and coloured to suit the engraving/cutting. You then export as dxf file. Then open lasercut software. Import File. Set cut/Engrave power and speed. Download and start !!! Simples We get great results and good ...

Hi Graham, We have used Newlydraw for 3 months. Where you change cut to scan to the right of the box there is a mode box. Change this to mode 1 this should fill the lettering in. Try the other modes. Are you savong the text as filled or unfilled from 2D ? This could make a difference Then to cut and...

Hi Mike, Mdf can be used well on lasers our 60 watt cuts 6mm and leaves a good finish. Try looking for mdf that feels furry on the edge this cuts easier as it has less "resin" and more fibres try Hindleys in sheffield they sell a low voc or laserable one. If youre moulding pewter Brockwort...

Hi Col we have a 6090 and manage to cut most fabrics like spandex and elasticated at speed 20 and power 30% We have also engraved and cut felt really sucessfully. Cotton is good as it leaves a really good contrasting brown pattern. Denim good till I washed it we got a good effect at firs then washed...

lasercut software

Hi Can anyone help I have an ls6090 and want to accuratly size lettering as the lasercut point height is not as accurate when I am cutting out letters in acrylic for customers ???
would it be better to create letters elsewhere and import ?
