It's not quite quick enough to show the start up surge, which you could do w...

Some of the 40w machines pack quite a punch !exengrav wrote:I have a 40w tube in a 4030 machine and a 60w in a 6090. The 40w has always outperformed the 60w, punching well above its' weight. Guess you can get lucky !

Re: Annoying LaserCut 5.3 glitch
I use a separate CAD program and save as AI format. I use AI, as it seems to work better for me I never save anything from the laser software. Mainly as I use the files for CNC or Laser, and the same shapes/files for different thicknesses Just load the AI, set the speed and power depending on materi...

Re: Annoying LaserCut 5.3 glitch
not sure what controller you have ?
Can you see it on the laser Control panel before you cut ?
as for the file, try deleting the K and adding the T before you save it as a new file ???
I don't use LC, but would try that as a work around to see

As for the handles, they are easy to make/adapt from drawer puls etc, if you have basic wood working tools/machines ? do you have a link to a commercial product that y...

Look at inkscape, ...

3mm medite is the thinnest that is readily available.
Take care to store it flat, so it lays flat in the machine ... it becomes "unflat" very easily

Re: Hi, I'm a new user & would just like some friendly advic
All said and done .. you would (should at at the right sales price) probably pay for the laser in a **month or three if you bought the basic one. and cut for more than a few hours a day. I totally agree that bigger is better ! to a point .. .. and yes .. if your business expands, you WILL need a big...
