Cutting White Card

Post by Dynamode »

Hello out there,

Has anyone had good results from cutting White Card without getting a load of soot on the edge, I've tried 3 types so far, it cuts really well, but as soon as you touch it you get black finger marks on it, some worse than the other.

If you have tried and got good results, what type of Card did you use and where from.

Thanks in advance.

Drop the power and increase the speed, sooting up is often a sign of too much power getting into the materials although some types of card can be a nightmare to cut given the chalk content :(
Please note I am not employed by HPC, any advice or recomendations I give are based on my own experience and are not necessarily the same as HPC's. First point of contact on any hardware issues should be with HPC

I have had this issue. I bought a whole load of white cards and envelopes and they are really sooty when cut. The best card I've had is some coloured card I bought from WHSmith. It was pricey but no soot, just a bit of a brown edge.
