ready for new bulb?

Post by craftybubble »

my machine has suddenly stopped going through acrylic on a speed 12 power 98 which I have always used. I am having to drop it to an 11- or mostly 10 now to make sure it goes through on all edges! also I am now cutting 4mm MDF on a speed 9-10 (was 16 when I first got the machine)
I have had the cutter just over 2 years now and use it every single day as a full time job. When I had my service last year in September, it was still running with plenty of power and after the service the technician had it running back at a speed 14 for a while (id been using 12 for quite some time)

I am wondering if anyone else had this problem after this amount of time?
Also sometimes when it cuts (only on some areas of the bed) it burns a 'double line' on the item.

The mirrors and lense are clean.

PLEASE HELP!

I use my machines about the same - 1 year is good as far as I'm concerned. If the output coupler is clean and the mirrors are not bloomed then it is most likely the tube ;)

Hi I would suggest trying alignment first with your comment on a double line.
this will make a major difference to the power.
also check the back of the lens is clean.
hope it helps... :D
