When I export images from Illustrator to Lasercut, they are appearing very large and I am having to manually resize them. What am I doing wrong?

Re: images not to scale
It is to do with the units used in Illustrator when exporting - they may not be set to mm. I don't use AI but see it all the time. I think there are a few answers if you google it

Re: images not to scale
Im using millimetres and it says conversion is 1mm to 1 unit.
Can I ask another question please? It says 'data exceeds working table' . size of my drawing is 50 x 50 - I think mm, but it doesn't have units.
