Here is the finished balsa plane from the parts posted earlier.

The wingspan is 570mm and it weighs just 200g including battery. It uses a 15g brushless motor powered by a 2S 500mAh LiPo battery. 5g servos are used for rudder, elevator and ailerons.

Many thanks, that would be most appreciated. Boats sound good as we are next to the canal. They'll enjoy falling in.

Hi Mark

What type of rib are you trying to draw? I've attached a zip file containing a set of ribs for a tapered wing using the Clark YH airfoil. These bits should be cut from 1/16th balsa.

And here are some spars to hold them all together. These are 1/8th balsa.

Here is a DXF for a larger symmetrical airfoil. These will be used in a 40" wingspan 3D plane. 40 engine size.

Bernie_of_CPE wrote: The box maker link was brilliant, thanks :D

Do you know of a similar application to produce toothed gears?
Hiya

Once again I'll sing the praises of Boxmaker, very nice piece of kit.

I'll also wave the Inkscape flag, it's a freeware vector drawing package which has many excellent features, not least of which is the price.
Better still on the extensions menu under "render" there's a Gear Function...
