Datum not moving
Datum not moving
The datum arm won't move on my laser. When I press esc to deselect the 'laser' file, none of the datum direction arrows work and neither does the z-axis.
I have reset but no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Datum not moving
It's the LS3060.
The arm moves freely when off and it will move when asked to do a datum re-set.
Thanks for your reply,

Re: Datum not moving
So it's just the arrow buttons? Does it move if you use the Lasercut ones?

Re: Datum not moving
Nope, it won't move with either the laser controls or laser cut. I have tried removing the pc still with no luck. The only way it will do any movement is if I press datum, which shows nothing is stopping it moving...
Re: Datum not moving
What is the stepper driver?
Re: Datum not moving
it's the electricery bit that is wired to the motors that move the axis around
Re: Datum not moving
It Can't be that if it will datum
Re: Datum not moving
Have you any other idea on what it may be? Or any suggestions for me to try? Thank you so much for your help
Re: Datum not moving
Best call HPC - if it is a loose wire or a component they will tell you how to fix it safely or suggest a visit.
We can't really advise you to mess about with the electrical side of the machine.
Best
Dave
